REPUBLICAN PARTY PRIMARY ELECTION
March 10, 1998

Republican Party Conventions
Republican precinct conventions will be held immediately after polls close on March 10, 1998 (primary election day). The time and location will be posted at the polling place. Only residents of the precinct who voted in the Republican primary (including early voters) are eligible to attend and participate in precinct conventions. You must have a stamped voter registration card or other proof that you voted in the Republican primary. The participants of the Republican precinct convention will select officers and delegates to the county or senatorial district convention (depending on local party structure) and will consider resolutions recommending party platform positions. County or senatorial district conventions will be held on March 28, 1998 where delegates will select officers for the convention, select delegates to the state convention, and consider resolutions recommending party platform positions. The state convention will be held June 12-13, 1998, in Fort Worth at which each senatorial caucus selects a district executive committeeman and committeewoman. The convention as a whole will elect a state chairman and vice-chairman, one woman and one man. State delegates will also adopt a party platform and rules.
