Denton County is looking for:

 

Clerks (Election Day and Early Voting)

Bilingual Clerks

 

You are eligible if you:

 

• Are 18 years or older
• Are registered to vote in Denton County
• Fluent in English and Spanish (for bilingual clerks)
• Do not hold an elected office
• Are not a family member of an elected official on the ballot
• Are not the employee of an elected official
• Enjoy interaction with the public
• Able to take direction well and not easily distracted
• Have dependable transportation to the Election Polls
• Can work variable or long hours on election day

 

Hours of service (approximate):

 

• Clerks:  Hours designated by Presiding Judge. Scheduling will generally be between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

 

General Job Duties:

 

• Qualifying the voter
• Assisting the voters with the election equipment
• Opening and closing the election polls
• Able to work nights and weekends (early voting)
• Translate if needed (bilingual clerks)

Early Voting Clerk:  The Early Voting Coordinator will contact you about working early voting.

Bilingual Clerk  Assist the Presiding Judge in assigned duties, including translating when necessary.
